Concerned Women for America Engages in the Battle for Marriage in Maryland

Concerned Women for America
Engages in the
Battle for Marriage
in Maryland

Maryland legislature considers radically changing the definition of our most fundamental social institution - marriage.

Hearings on redefining marriage are on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, in the Senate and will soon be held in the House. Please pass this information on to every concerned Maryland citizen that you know. Please pray continually for marriage and visit, call and e-mail your Maryland legislators now.

CWA is part of a coalition fighting to sustain marriage in Maryland. The coalition website is www.maryland4marriage.com/. Go to the website for directions on how to contact your legislators and for more information on why marriage is important.

·       It is important that Maryland citizens who support marriage as God ordained attend the hearing on February 8 and to also drop in on their legislators while they are in Annapolis. We are told that having 150 to 300 supporters there will help. We will have stickers to help identify you. If possible, please wear red, white and blue.

·       If you would be available for lobbying over the next two weeks or more in Annapolis, we have an urgent need - and a training session on Saturday (February 5). Please e-mail me your name and contact information.

·       Please see this article on the importance of marriage in Maryland, "Do children matter in Maryland?," by Peter Sprigg. http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2011-02-01/news/bs-ed-same-sex-marriage-20110201_1_marriage-couples-social-institution

This is the question that is at stake right now in Maryland!
