Ex-gays are not invisible
In its Feb. 29 letter, "Ex-gay is a discredited notion," the gay rights organization, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), claims that ex-gays like me do not exist. But I am not invisible, no matter how much PFLAG wishes the ex-gay community would retreat back into the closet.
The real question is why PFLAG and other gay activists advocate for those who change their gender but refuse to acknowledge those who change their sexual orientation. Sounds hypocritical to me.
Let’s practice diversity and inclusion instead of fearing one another.
