TONIGHT: Mike Huckabee, Members of Congress join a Special Newscast on Religious Freedom

Watch our special newscast "Two Weeks for Freedom: Christians Standing Together for Religious Freedom" via live webcast TONIGHT - Tuesday, June 19 at 8:00 p.m. EDT

June 19, 2012

Religious liberty. It's our First Freedom -- an unalienable right given by God and enshrined into the U.S. Constitution. However, our religious liberty is now threatened by the Department of Health and Human Services which has approved -- for the first time in American history -- new federal regulations that would force health-care plans to cover abortion drugs, contraceptives and sterilizations.

Tonight -- Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. EDT, Christians from across denominational lines will come together for a special newscast program that will mark the beginning of a two week period of nationwide prayer and action in support of religious liberty. Gov. Mike Huckabee, Reps. Jeff Fortenberry (R-Nebr.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), and representatives from affected Christian organizations will join us for a special newscast to examine ways that American Christians can take a stand for the constitutionally guaranteed right of religious liberty.

Program participants include:

  • Host Tony Perkins, President, FRC Action
  • Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)
  • Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (R-Nebr.)
  • Governor Mike Huckabee
  • Terry Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief, CNSNews.com
  • Dr. Joe Aguillard, President, Louisiana College
  • Melissa Silvers, Associate Director of Government Relations, U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops
  • Father Frank Pavone, National Director, Priests for Life
  • Tom McClusky, Senior Vice President, FRC Action

Please spread the word and encourage your friends and family to tune-in! We also want to hear your questions! Email your questions to questions@frcaction.org or submit your question on Twitter to @frcaction. We'll attempt to answer as many questions as possible during the webcast.

If you're unable to watch live, an archived version will be available at frcaction.org/twoweeks following the event.
