Same-Sex Marriage Vote Less Than 50 Days Away

Dear MMA Supporter,

On November 6th, I am voting Against Question Six because I believe that marriage is a union between one man and one woman.  You and I know that it is possible to be tolerant of the rights of others without changing the legal definition of marriage.

We also know that when the definition of marriage changes the rights of people who don’t agree with same-sex marriage are attacked.

Earlier this week, George Will’s column in the Sun Herald told the story of a Christian owned photography studio in New Mexico that was sued because they wanted to freely exercise their right to religious expression guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. This small business was forced to pay $6,600 because gay rights activists refused to extend the same freedom to “live and let live” that they demand from others.  In states where same-sex marriage is legal, these types of cases are occurring with alarming frequency.

There are less than 50 days left before Maryland goes to the polls to vote on this extremely important issue.

There is absolutely no time to waste.  We need your financial support today.  A contribution of  $100, $250, $500 will help us ensure that all Marylanders know what's at stake.

Can we count on you to support the Maryland Marriage Alliance?

Can we count on you to forward this email to your friends and encourage them to uphold marriage?
