These are the Stakes

I don't know if you saw or read about Dr. Angela McCaskill, the Gallaudet University employee who was put on administrative leave because she was one of almost 200,000 people who signed a petition to put a referendum on marriage on the ballot in Maryland.

You can see highlights of her press conference here and read about her situation below.

Take a few minutes to watch this video—it's a shocking and tragic example of how the rights and values of marriage supporters are being trampled. But it's also just a hint of what is to come if we allow same-sex marriage lobbyists to redefine marriage.

And please consider making a donation to our Million Dollar Match for Marriage campaign to help us reach our $1 million goal!

Thank you,

Brian

National
Organization for Marriage

The gay "marriage" thugs and "tolerance" police have struck again.

Last week, Dr. Angela McCaskill, the first African-American PhD Gallaudet University has produced, was suspended from her university job—simply because campus officials discovered that she had signed a petition to allow the people of Maryland to vote on marriage!

McCaskill's offense? Exercising her fundamental civil right to participate in the democratic process. And so, Dr. McCaskill, who is also deaf, was targeted, bullied, and intimidated by the gay "marriage" bullies and "tolerance" police who ultimately suspended her job.

Does this sound like tolerance to you?

Well, we've had enough of these threats and attacks on law-abiding citizens whose lives are being destroyed because they support God's definition of marriage... and that's why I'm writing to you today.

The National Organization for Marriage is working to expose and defeat the intolerant agenda of the same-sex marriage lobby—but we need your donation of $50, $100, or as much as you can contribute today to protect folks like Dr. McCaskill.

We have a small window to make a huge difference, and thanks to a generous 2 for 1 matching grant, every dollar you contribute today will have triple the impact!

You see, the gay "marriage" lobby isn't merely attempting to destroy one law-abiding Marylander like Dr. McCaskill—they are declaring war on anyone who disagrees with their radical agenda: everyone must support homosexual marriage... or else.

Their strategy is simple: target and intimidate Christians, the media, and enough politicians and activist judges to force "one man and one man" as the new law of the land—thereby destroying the time-tested, God-ordained, traditional institution of marriage.

P, if the gay marriage lobby wins on Election Day in less than 2 weeks, and marriage is re-defined, more faithful Americans who support the God-ordained understanding of "one man and one woman" marriage will be treated in law as bigots and racists.

So please make an urgent donation of $50, $100, or as much as you can contribute to NOM so we can expose and defeat the real bullies seeking to redefine marriage. With your immediate support, NOM can fully fund our final election efforts to ensure that pro-marriage Americans show up at the polls on November 6th.

With your help, we can rally together and create a supportive community for those like Dr. McCaskill while making sure that marriage is upheld in all states this Election Day. We will continue to take out even more politicians who sellout to the gay marriage lobby—but only if Christians and marriage supporters step up their contributions right now.

Dr. McCaskill's tragic story is a warning of what's to come if marriage is re-defined in the next 2 weeks. As she noted after her suspension, "I thought it was important that, as a citizen of the State of Maryland, I could exercise my right to participate in the political process....They have attempted to intimidate me. They have tarnished my reputation."

And that's why we must not fail in these final two weeks.

Faithfully,

Brian S Brown

P.S. Bloomberg is now reporting that "Gay-Marriage Backers See Chance for First U.S. Ballot Win." Christians, marriage supporters, and people of faith must step up their contributions to our fight, or marriage will be re-defined and we'll all be treated in law as bigots and racists—just like Dr. McCaskill has been treated. And don't forget: when you donate $25 or even $2,500 before Election Day, your contribution to NOM will be immediately tripled as part of our Million Dollar Match for Marriage challenge. There's no better way to maximize the effectiveness of a pro-marriage contribution than with an urgently needed donation to NOM right now.
