Christian Boycott of Starbucks starts now

Christian Boycott of Starbucks starts now - Starbucks CEO announces major financial support
for gay marriage court case, tells customers to stop buying Starbucks if they don't like it!

…OK, we'll stop buying Starbucks!

Dear Christian Friends:

Unfortunately the headline above is real. Please immediately begin to boycott all Starbucks products – until they stop financing gay marriage.

-       Please sign the petition at National Organization for Marriage official "Dump Starbucks" boycott site: http://www.dumpstarbucks.com/

-       Please also see the address and suggested "Sample Letter" below to make a comment to Starbucks.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz stated at a news conference this past Monday, March 25, 2013 that Starbucks is "officially supporting gay marriage." (see video link to CNN below.)

This regards the Supreme Court's upcoming California's Prop 8 case, in which the People overwhelmingly voted that "Marriage is between one man and one woman."
A portion of every cup of coffee purchased at a Starbucks anywhere in the world goes to fund this corporate assault on marriage.

(The last time Christians boycotted Starbucks was over a promotion on Starbucks cups in Aug, 2005.
One of their writers was pointedly encouraging young people to "explore homosexuality" as a lifestyle.

The nationwide Christian boycott that resulted hurt Starbucks bottom line to the point that they stopped the promotion.)

It's time for Christians to do it again – the only way to make Starbucks stop supporting gay marriage with their profits is to stop their profits!! - and make their Shareholders speak up!

Christians are 52% of the national population.

-       We boycotted Kmart - and they stopped stocking adult books and sponsoring gay pride events.

-       We boycotted Ikea - and they ended their 'gay family' ads

-       We boycotted Carl's Jr - and they took their Paris Hilton and Hugh Hefner ads off TV.

-       We continue to fight the attempts of 1% of the population to make the majority accept their sexually deviant, dangerous lifestyle as normal.

BUT: will you switch coffees for a season to fight Starbucks new push to make gay marriage a national right?

-
Please begin to take your coffee business elsewhere, such as:

- Peete's

- Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

This boycott is also for the following:
 Starbucks Corporation also owns
Seattle's Best Coffee,
Verismo single-serve coffee system, Evolution Fresh, Tazo Tea, Torrefazione Italia Coffee, and La Boulange.

- Please also complain to the manager of your neighborhood Starbucks. They will forward your opinion to the Corporate office.

===============Sample Letter====================

Dear Starbucks:

Your company's CEO Howard Schultz just stated that Starbucks is "officially supporting gay marriage."
This
encourages young people to try homosexuality, a very dangerous and socially deviant lifestyle.

This is against my values.

For this reason, I will not buy your coffee until you announce the end of this deviant promotion.

I will buy my coffee at alternative stores such as The Coffee Bean, and Peete's Coffee.

Please stop promoting homosexuality to our young people.

Sincerely,

Starbucks' official response to protest letters to the customer relations department:

"As a company, we are deeply committed to our Mission Statement and "Guiding Principles."
One of our six principles  is 'embracing diversity as an essential component to the way we do business.'
This includes the gay and lesbian community."

National Organization for Marriage website states:

We are urging customers across the globe to 'Dump Starbucks' because it has taken a corporate-wide position that the definition of marriage between one man and one woman should be eliminated and that same-sex marriage should become equally 'normal'. As such, Starbucks has deeply offended at least half its US customers, and the vast majority of its international customers.

On January 24th, 2012, Starbucks issued a memorandum declaring that same-sex marriage "is core to who we are and what we value as a company."
Starbucks also used its resources to participate in a legal case seeking to overturn a federal law declaring marriage as the union of one man and one woman.
In many areas of the world where Starbucks does business, the concept of 'gay marriage' is unheard of and deeply offensive to cultural, moral and religious values.
In taking these actions, Starbucks has declared a culture war on all people of faith (and millions of others) who believe that the institution of marriage as one man and one woman is worth preserving.

We urge consumers across the globe to join the 'Dump Starbucks' campaign.
Please sign the petition to register your protest.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz's grande support for gay marriage

By Jena McGregor, Washington Post, March 25, 2013

On Friday, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz was applauded at the company's annual investor meeting for doing something chief executives rarely do: He told off a shareholder.

Granted, the shareholder in question was Thomas Strobhar, the founder of the Corporate Morality Action Center, which states that its mission is to challenge corporations on issues like gay marriage, abortion and pornography. Last year Starbucks' endorsed a Washington state bill to legalize same-sex marriage, which prompted the National Organization for Marriage to organize a boycott of the coffee behemoth. So in last week's meeting, Strobhar criticized Starbuck's endorsement for hurting sales and profits in the first quarter of 2012.

GOP leaders, gay marriage and the arc of history

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on two same-sex marriage cases this week.
