New Jersey Senate Committee to Vote on Therapy Ban for Minors with Unwanted SSA this Monday
!

On Monday, March 18, 2013, members of the New Jersey Health, Human Services, and Senior Citizens Committee will hold a hearing and vote on Senate Bill (SB) 2278, titled: "Protects minors by prohibiting counseling attempts to change sexual orientation."

This hearing is a crucial advance in New Jersey towards banning therapy for minors who experience unwanted same-sex attractions and seek counseling or psychotherapy from licensed mental health providers in the effort to change their unwanted homosexual feelings.

Should the bill advance through committee, it is likely to pass through the New Jersey Assembly and Senate and land on Governor Chris Christie's desk, who has not yet indicated whether he will sign or veto the bill.

Should the bill become law, a child that is sexually abused by a pedophile such as ex-Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky, and develops homosexual inclinations as a consequence, will not be able to receive help to change those attractions!

HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP!

1. Sign IHF's Legislative Petition by clicking here! On Monday, March 18, IHF Director Christopher Doyle will present your signatures directly to the New Jersey Senate in Trenton, New Jersey after he testifies!

2. Attend the hearing in Trenton, New Jersey on Monday, March 18 and stand with IHF and the ex-gay community against this attack on parental rights and self-determination for clients with unwanted SSA!

3. Call the committee members and tell them to vote "NO" on the bill to ban therapy for clients who seek to change their homosexual feelings. Click on the hyperlinks on the committee members below to call.

Sign the Petition and demand that CBS "Criminal Minds" Producers Apologize!

Dear CBS "Criminal Minds" Producers,

Your February 20, 2013 episode titled: "Broken" has gone too far! In the episode, you portrayed persons with unwanted same-sex attractions (SSA) as repressed, violent killers.

You portrayed their parents as abusive, homophobic bigots.

You portrayed their counselors as ideological extremists who resort to torture in order to turn them from gay to straight.

Simply put, your actions are outrageous, irresponsible, and offensive!
