Differing ex-gay from everstraights

>> Alan Medinger and Dr. Joseph Nicolosi are great in what they write about the difference between ex-gays and always-heterosexual. The always-heterosexual sees a woman, feels the erotic attraction, wants to know her better, ideally the deepened relationship leads to a good marriage. The ex-gay BEGINS with friendship, as it deepens, the relationship develops its erotic element. Often the erotic is felt only for the wife, not other women.
>>
>> Medinger talks about three elements of eroticism: the visual, emotion, and touch. For the always-heterosexual, the visual is a strong element For the ex-gay, the brain didn't learn it, but the emotional and touch are fully heterosexual.
>>
>> Some observers get stuck with the idea that there's a 100% "switch", rather than a lessening of compulsion which frees the body's natural heterosexuality. Ex-gays have a right to be treated somewhat differently. Just as the past of someone who survived childhood abuse or PDST should be respected.
