Fwd: URGENT! Marriage Supporter, I Need Your Help Right Away!

Dear Marriage Supporter,

I'm sorry for writing you on the eve of Christmas, but as I mentioned in my email yesterday, our opponents' many attacks on marriage and pro-marriage citizens continue each day regardless of the holidays.

A federal judge in Utah — an Obama appointee — has declared that the state's amendment to the constitution defining marriage as a union of one man and one woman violates the US Constitution!

It's a lawless decision that distorts the Supreme Court's decision in the Windsor case just this past summer and ignores precedent from past Supreme Court decisions expressly defending a state's right to enact marriage protection amendments.

And now Utah is in a constitutional crisis with very little time to act — they must choose between following the clear law of the land enacted by the will of the people or the dictates of a liberal, activist Obama appointee.

Please click here right away to send Utah Governor Gary Herbert a message: thanking him for standing for marriage and urging him to do everything in his power to defend marriage and the will of the people in his state.

We cannot let an activist Obama-appointed judge make an absurd, unilateral decision to do away with law and precedent and impose a radical redefinition of marriage on the people of Utah.
